*UPDATE – MAY 21st 2013 – UPDATE*
Time moves so fast; it’s hard to keep everything updated what with one thing and another. (Yes I have a time-management-strategy in place; but it doesn’t solve everything.)
- Anyway; here’s how things stand at time of writing: -
June 21st – Just 1 month to go – sees the release of my next single *Hometown* (It’s NOT an Adele cover.) Hometown is created based upon a poem I wrote as a teenager about the town I lived in at the time. I made it a simple tune with a straightforward beat and easy lyrics: It’s not ‘poetry put to music’; I completely condensed and rewrote the poem’s contents for the lyrics, and I think you’ll like it: I’ve tried to make it ‘pop-y’, and later on in the track I’ve included a nice beat-rendition-mix which I feel you’ll enjoy.
Following that; on July 1st, 10 days later, comes the release of my single *Deejay – [Remix]* ( < The link will take you to the corresponding page.) This is a progressive tune – with lyrics – remixed into a compendium of sounds which I feel will stimulate your eardrums. The theme is at a club in the early hours – still dancing and requesting the DJ to play more tracks.. I won’t give too much away; I think you’ll like it.
In August I’ll be releasing my dancefloor-number *Why Don’t You..?* – which I’m sure will have you up and bopping around the floor as you listen.
- All this PLUS I’m intending to release at least 1 more single and an album this year (2013). – It’s happening! -
—————————————————————————
*NEW ALBUM “ON WITH THE SHOW” – Release postponed indefinitely.*
Yeah ignore all the gubbins & garbage below about the new album’s (*On With The Show*) release. – ‘Sorry but when I reviewed it after submission it just wasn’t up to scratch in every regard. – So look I want to entertain you with my best efforts rather than something passable; and that’s why I suspended publication indefinitely.
(I should so keep this page updated more: With one thing and another it tends to get neglected.)
Right at this moment of writing I’m looking at producing it again later in the year (2013) or maybe even in 2014: having said that I have plans and possible auditions coming up later in the year which may springboard my career… No I’m not banking on it: Look what happened with The Voice last year. – You never saw me on TV? – I know; I never made it that far because I crashed & burned at pre-audition (Embarrassment). – It happens I guess. I don’t intend to let it happen again this year; so either I don’t audition for The Voice Series 3… OR I at least get on the small screen and at worst get knocked back by Jessie, will.i.am… Etc. – I haven’t even considered that far ahead yet, though as soon as pos I’ll apply…
- Anyway for the time being I’ve released an interim-track which you’ll find here. Also my second official single’s due for release on June 21st 2013 – The same date as my album was due to be released; and I don’t like letting you down so I’m not going to release nothing and say ‘wait until ***’ date; : I promised you I’d entertain and, more than that, I promised myself I’d give you my best. – So you’re getting something that I’m putting a lot of work into; namely this coming single *Hometown*. If you want to keep up with the developments in regard to it; check out the Hometown homepage.
As for the album – well it consists of several tracks – some of which I’ll probably re-record, others will be replaced. It also has a mock-concert-recording on Disk 2; and I’m intending to publish that on this webspace as well as play it on the radio in my capacity as DJ Shazzalive in the future.
I know you’ll understand that it doesn’t help me, and neither does it help you, if I release anything that I’m not 100% happy about; and that’s why things are going the way they are right now.
I’ll try to keep this page updated as much as possible, but you understand if it’s not always at the cutting edge of my career.

Who the hell..?
Sharron-idol, possibly better known to the online tech-community as Sharron Field, is a multi-talented upcoming star-entertainments personality: -

–> She Sings: Sharron-idol produced 3 singles and an album during 2012. Having released 2 remixes ( Shazrealthing and River Trance Beat ) during 2010; 1 of them featuring then-online-girlfriend Emma Harris, she then created a silent video on her No2 Stage at ICE Showbiz in Idol City on the teen-social-site Habbo Hotel back in April 2012. Following that she released a single “So Many Girls”, followed by her rendition of “Dream a Little Dream (of Me)” in May, and an instrumental track which she put together called “Industry” back in June of 2012.
In August of 2012 Sharron-idol released her first album “ServicePackOne”; a 10-track album with an extra continuous-play extended track of the entire album’s content back-to-back as track 11.
–> She DJs: Yes; DJ Shazzalive has her own radio-show on spreaker.com, which she runs every weekend and some weekdays.
–> She Produces: Sharron-idol has, up to time of writing, recorded, mixed, and produced all of her work. She’s also remixed a couple of tracks from up-and-coming artist Becky Hill too, in addition to others. A lifelong geek; Sharron-idol built a lot of her own equipment and is very clued-up from a technical perspective: even going so far as to build Becky Hill’s fan-page and to edit 2 online-newspapers: The Starlight and Tech-Roundup.
–> She Remixes: To date Sharron-idol’s remixes include: -
- Shazrealthing
- River Trance Beat
- Uffie-F1rst Love – DJ Shazzalive Remix (on the album)
- Becky Hill-Too Close – DJ Shazzalive Remix
- Queen-Lily of the Valley – DJ Shazzalive Tribal Dance Remix (on the album)
- Becky Hill-Pictures – DJ Shazzalive Remix (on the album)

So Far So Good…
30th November 2012: Sharron-idol appears to have gone silent for the last 3 months or so; but Sharron-idol is far from idle: She’s working on her next album, which is supposed to bring both quantity AND quality: 2 disks each containing at least 12 tracks.
While silently producing the new album, Sharron-idol has released 2 tracks 1 of which is scheduled to appear on her new album: The first of these is a remix of a Ben Howard number called “Only Love”. The second, which is not appearing on the album, is a remix of a random Tick-Tock parody: “Tick-Tock Reproduction Parody Shazzalive Remix”.
So even though it might seem fairly quiet; things are indeed happening, and Sharron-idol is still creating and producing.
OLDER NEWS:
The best is yet to come though: On the day that this page was created Sharron-Idol received her invitation to audition for talent show TheVoice UK. – If she gets onto national television and performs it will be an amazing springboard for her career. If she wins it will be a dream-come-true for her, and the start of an amazing career with a record-deal and a chance to generate the necessary finance to leapfrog her career into overdrive!
Before that though; Sharron-idol, only weeks after releasing her album, is releasing another single.
Following the recent release of her first album; ServicePackOne, Sharron-idol has announced the launch of her latest single; a cover-version of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”. According to her Facebook page this will contain a “Sharron-idol musical twist”.
The single will contain two tracks; the second of which is said to be a song to which she composed the lyrics, called “F*ck The System” – It’ll be interesting to find out what that song is about: Sharron-idol says that it’s not about anarchy or anything else you may immediately think, but rather about musical appreciation. – Well Sharron, that’s certainly a most authentic style of musical appreciation… But all may be revealed upon release.
Sharron-idol’s new single will be available for download from this page shortly after its release on Monday 20th August.
Apologies for lateness on this page; but one whole month late I can at last give you the download link for my single “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”. – What with boobing-up my audition for The Voice and everything else it totally slipped my mind! – Erk – that won’t do!
Ok so here it is: The download link for the .zip-file of the 2 tracks of the single. Unzip and enjoy: - Download it HERE.
EVEN OLDER NEWS:
Sharron-idol has released her first album
entitled “ServicePackOne”
The album consists of a number of cantata pieces, with a single a capella piece and three instrumental tracks. Also included is a track called “ServicePackOne Continuum”, which is a sequential combination of all the other tracks back-to-back.![]()
Sharron-idol; otherwise known as DJ Shazzalive to the music world, and possibly even more reputed amidst the online-tech-community – because of her long-standing blog Kkomp.com–Beyond – by her actual name of Sharron Field, has had dreams of stardom from her teens. Due to a variety of unfavourable circumstances at the time she never had the chance to pursue a celebrity career, or should I say a career with aim at celebrity status. Because of this she decided to pursue a career in technology, later to venture into the sales-industry – following which she returned to technology after a road-traffic-accident left her with a single leg and resulting mobility-impairment.
Sharron decided to change direction in 2012 and ventured into the music-scene (She had already released a number of remixes, including

Following this, in May 2012, Sharron-idol went on to use the ICE Recordings label to record a cover of ( Ella Fitzgerald’s ) “Dream A Little Dream (Of Me)” – which she released as a single, accompanied by her own version of the track, titled “Dream A Little Nightmare”.
Whilst at the same time becoming online-friends with runner-up on TheVoice(UK), Becky Hill; Sharron-idol released another single-release, this time her cover of “Lily Of The Valley” by Queen (with very slightly altered wording to avoid any copyright issues arising), again on the ICE Recordings label. That month Sharron-idol, under the guise of DJ Shazzalive, also remixed and released Becky Hill’s cover of Alex Clare’s “Too Close”.
All this time Sharron-idol had been realising the need to produce an album in order to properly establish a presence of some kind in the music-industry, albeit as a beginner. It is to this end that Sharron-idol has recorded and produced this, her first album, “ServicePackOne”. The title belies her connections with the tech & computer-industry; and indeed tracks 8 through 10: “ServicePackOne” – the title track, “Industry”, and “Instability”, are a collection of experimental sounds using technology/software to process an instrumental sound – at times accompanied by a vocal offering – and change its sound totally before the end of the track.
The first track is her cover of a 1970s song by The Carpenters entitled “Superstar”. Sharron-idol chose this track as the opener to her album because of this very title. – It is, after all, her aim and hope to one day become a superstar. Following that is a re-recording of her cover of “Dream A Little Dream (Of Me)”. The third sequential cover is her rendition of “Lily of the Valley” by Queen – which she has already released. Following on from that are
a couple of remixes, starting with her remix of French indie-star Uffie’s “F1rst Love” which has already been published. Next is Sharron-idol’s second remix of Becky Hill’s music; this time a remix not of a cover, but a hitherto-unpublished remix of Becky Hill’s own work called “Pictures”, which Becky Hill herself, with the aid of her team, wrote, composed, performed, and recorded. (‘Want to hear the original? – Click here to listen to it.)
Next is an a capella piece, enhanced by digital processing with a choral effect, called “Fart Song”. – Originally written by Sharron-idol in 2010, the song itself consists of only a chorus. This track has been previously published without digital processing. On the following track, Sharron-idol remixes her own cover of Queen’s song and adds a tribal beat. Following that is the title-track and others that we’ve already mentioned.
Sharron-idol doesn’t expect to win any awards with this album: its sole aim is to capture a tiny piece of real-estate from the music-industry; just big enough to erect a small flagpole as it were, to get some kind of recognition by releasing it.
Get Sharron-idol’s Album “ServicePackOne”
It’s free to any good home and it’s worth a listen. The album can be downloaded as a .zip file, size 182Kb. When decompressed it expands into a folder containing all 11 tracks, contents-list in .pdf format, readme .txt file, and AlbumArt in a number of different formats and sizes. It will also be available on CD at some point in the near-ish future; but right-now – immediately post-launch – it’s only available online currently.
You can download it HERE.
An End-of -Year Message from Sharron-idol: -
I’ve had to make a decision in the light of progress, or lack thereof: -
I’ve been planning, since October, to release an album incorporating 2 disks, each with 12 tracks on each. The first would have been a number of covers and new materials, while the second disk would have been a number of new mixes and remixes.
This seemed a reasonable strategy at the time; but due to unforeseen circumstances there has been a series of major delays with the first disk. The second disk, however, is progressing well and isn’t too far from completion. (A month or two.) In the light of this I think I’ll be releasing each disk as a separate album, with the first album being released in the early to mid Summer of 2013 and the second album being released in the late Spring, Summer or Autumn of the year.
I still haven’t decided on a name for either album.
My first album; ServicePackOne, ( http://kkomp.com/survivors ) was a fairly random collection of a cappellas, cantatas, etc. I want to avoid this randomness in the future, as well as not skimp on the production costs and times: I don’t intend to be so hasty in producing albums in the future at the expense of quality in other words.
So this means two things for you people who listen to and like my music: It means you’re going to hear a number of instrumental pieces which I’ve created and/or remixed earlier than expected. (I might record a couple of covers to add to that first album too.) It also means that you’re going to get at least 2 albums off me this coming year.
>Now I gave you ServicePackOne free; and if you haven’t downloaded it yet then you can do so now if you want to for no charge. I was intending to give you my second album free of charge too this Spring; but I have to sell it to cover the costs of production, extra equipment purchased, etc.
Look at me huh; I’m a right business strategist lol. – Remember I come from a sales and technical background, so I always have some strategic planning involved in my productions of any kind.
Here’s an instrumental track from my forthcoming album to be going on with. Have a great day.
(February 16th 2013) – Further developments: I’ve recorded all the song/tune tracks for my forthcoming album “On With The Show”, and am currently recording audio-scenes in which the songs appear as additional tracks for the album. Everything is on course for a May 1st release date; though this may or may not be subject to change.
I’m seriously excited about this album; and I hope you enjoy listening to it when it’s released as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.
Oh yeah and this time I’m not just going to make it available online via this site + available on CD direct from me. : This one will be available via iTunes, Amazon, and other online download sources.
( I probably won’t be able to produce another album until next year 2014. I’ll let you know more about that in due course.)
20th February 2013: Things have become a little complicated; or should I say I didn’t realise that things were quite as complicated: -
‘See I planned the production of this album and forecast that I could comfortably accomplish that by May. I didn’t account for all the necessary associated PR exercises that I failed to do with regard to my first album “ServicePackOne”, which wasn’t a roaring success shall we say.
-So rather than make a gargantuan cock-up of whatever magnitude; I’m going to have to factor those things into the equation and reassess the situation.
The result of that is that I’m going to have to postpone the album’s official launch date until 21st June 2013, or have another “crash & burn” year like 2012… ‘Long story which I won’t go into right now; save to say that trying to do everything on the cheap resulted in results far short of those that were intended for the year as a whole. – Yes it’s true that I did put out a number of releases… and that’s about as far as it goes.
… Anyway; 2013 is the year we do things the proper way: So I’m asking my fans and followers to bear with me on this. I apologise for once again being overly hasty.
For those not yet in the know; I’m making an album; the album has 11 music tracks & 2 concert tracks. – An entire hour’s simulated concert in 2 pasts on 1 disk. – Total 13 tracks. – It’s also going to have 14 audio scenes incorporating those first 12 tracks + more, which are all joined together into one massive recording which I had to split into 2 parts for technical reasons. These will make the listener feel like they went backstage + listened to an entire concert by me: ‘Crowd noise, great audio effects, in fact the audio tells a story. – A story of my virtual concert. There’s also a message of unity and oneness very plainly shown; + also Sharron-idol gets upgraded publicly!
Use the player below, left, for a preview of the title track scene from the live show recording section of the album: -
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
4th March 2013: – I’m not very good at keeping this page up to date with 1 thing and another. – Anyway I’ve got everything sorted and the album is more than just a concept now: In fact I’ve got an actual draft: -
This is a draft-cover: The actual album cover on publication will be somewhat different. – See the image below for the actual cover.
It’s still over 2 hours of performance; but I took out 2 of the songs which were 1 Bolan cover and the Ben Howard remix which I already published on You Tube anyway. – So now 11 tracks on disk 1.
I intended disk 2 to have a long continuous concert track on it of over 1 hour in duration; but for technical reasons I had to split the track and go for 2 tracks on disk 2: “The Show 1″ and “The Show 2″. – Just play them consecutively. ( 1 after the other.)
- So 13 tracks spanning over 2 hours: There are things in The Show tracks that don’t appear on disk 1: Like me talking from the stage, crowd noise, and a short instrumental piece. I had to cut down the size of disc 2 too; so there is at least 1 track that’s longer on disk 1 than on disk 2.
I’ll just explain again: Disk 1 is a collection of tracks – like on a normal album. Disk 2 is a simulated concert in 2 parts featuring (most of) the tracks from disk 1.
OK so we have product finally: I have to concentrate on marketing and publicity from now up until the official release date of June 21st 2013, in addition to, of course making more music.
Hopefully I’ll be auditioning for The Voice UK again this year. Hopefully also I won’t be cocking it up totally as I did last year. – So all this works out quite nicely as it happens timing-wise: Album out towards the end of June, then The Voice auditions will probably be in July; so I can concentrate on that then, having got the album fully sorted.
I’ll be telling you more as and when on this page – as and when I get a chance to update it; and there’s always something daily on my Facebook and Twitter pages too.
Here’s wishing you all the best for the year with regard to whatever you’re doing. – ‘Have a good 1.
”
Regards from Sharron-idol xxx
