*My Verdict on Becky Hill’s New Website Provided by Crown (As far as I know)
OK I’ll be honest with you right from the start: I’m disappointed.
I’m not bothered that Becky Hill now has her own website which Crown Talent & Media set up for her: They are her management and it was obvious that they were going to do that one day. I was providing this site as a service for her until that happened because I am one of her fans.
-
What disappoints me is – and I’m only being perfectly honest here, speaking my mind as a geek, blogger, and fellow artist – Becky’s new website; provided by Crown Media and Talent Group, sucks!
There is no other way to put it than that: I’m not sure which webspace the new site is on but it looks a mess to be honest. – Also it lacks basic essential functionalities which are standard with most 21st-Century blogs. – It appears to be an updated relic from a web 1.0 world of the 20th Century.
Let me state here that I’m an artist too, and I have my own fan website on the same domain as this one that I run myself. (This was a the result of a trick that I devised to allow creation of multiple sites on a single WordPress installation on a single domain. – It’s all documented on kkomp.com .) On that website I have a decent header letting everyone know what the site is all about. I have a Twitter-follow button, an RSS link, a social-sharing widget, and a proper footer. I have full control with regard to the look and feel of the site, and as to exactly what content of whatever type I wish to display: Exactly the same as with this site you’re looking at now.![]()
Crown’s website for Becky Hill has a header; it might not look much like a header but it’s a header. It might be difficult to tell that the site is about Becky Hill, but it really IS a header and it says “Becky Hill”; trust me on that: Look carefully and you’ll see I’m right. The site also has a flash-menu with clickable pictorial links –> Yes that is an advantage over this site: the only advantage over this site if you can call it such.
Despite having a very prominent and screen-real-estate-consuming Twitter-follow-me-link, the site has no perceivable RSS link, no social-sharing widget that I can use, and no footer as such. – It’s rather a non-entity. It’s almost functionally-identical to a partially-disabled version of Becky’s Tumblr account… In fact it might as well BE Becky’s Tumblr account with a header and Crown’s logo attached.
This website (kkomp.com/rebels) is staying, and nothing’s being taken off it at present. As for anything being added to it in the future I have no idea as yet. It seems pointless now that Crown have started an official Becky Hill website… But I have to state again that the official website that Crown have provided is a let-down to say the least. I expected better from a professional management agency to be frank. They certainly haven’t done Becky any favours. I expected it to be a better setup than mine; by which I mean functionally better as well as cosmetically more appealing. Cosmetically it could easily be more appealing if it looked anything like tidy. As it currently stands it’s a jumbled mess which is virtually unreadable. Functionally it’s a disaster.
Anyway, the news is that the new professionally-inspired Becky Hill website, whatever its’ deficiencies, is taking over from this site as of now. Everything that you see here will remain here for the time being; but any future data will be displayed on the official site.
It has been my pleasure to help promote Becky Hill through this medium. Now it is her management’s function to organise her publicity and promotional activity; and I hand that over to them to fulfil as they deem fit.
My last words on the matter are thus: “Please get Becky a decent website.”

The Rebelations Episode 5.
————————————
I imagine it would be fairly obvious to anybody that Becky hasn’t been sitting around and doing nothing but chucking out a few free recordings from time to time. This page’s author isn’t one to get excited over speculation and to report rumours as the real-deal; which is why there hasn’t been a lot of activity recorded on this page lately.
People have been constantly asking Becky if and when she’s going to be releasing an album. Quite frankly with the amount of inside-information I have; whatever extent that might be limited to, it has always, to me, been a question of not if, but when she will be releasing an album.
Has she been signed by a record-label yet? I think it seems to be a given that she has indeed been signed to a recording contract. Which label signed her up if that is the case? At a logical guess I’d punt for Island Records; but I may be wrong.
Don’t take my opinions as facts until there is definite proof that they are correct, should that be the case; but personally I’d put money on seeing Becky’s debut album published in the not too distant future.
A massive clue was dropped by MUZU.TV in their feature article at http://www.entertainment-focus.com/news/becky-hill-covers-rudimental-in-new-live-video Note the words of the third paragraph: “Becky is currently working on her debut album and we’ll have more news as soon as the details start to surface.” – In my humble opinion an artist gets signed before working on a debut album. I am aware that Becky was recording a number of tracks to present to record companies when seeking a signing; but that was quite a while ago. Let’s face it if you had a recording company and Becky Hill turned up with a demo-disc under the management of Crown Media and Talent would you turn her down? I need say no more on the subject.
So yes I produced a “best of Becky Hill so far” album called Shine under ICE Recordings label; but don’t misunderstand all that: ICE Recordings isn’t a professional commercial recording label (yet) – it’s just my personal recording label at present; either until it becomes a serious player and/or I get signed up by a major label; No guarantees of either but it’s not by any means beyond possibility. I just wanted to make that clear.
It seems pretty much official then, news having been leaked that Becky is working on her debut album. Personally I’m going to be overjoyed when the album is released. If I hear of a way to pre-order a copy I promise I’ll post it here: Until then we wait with baited breath; and as I’m sure we all agree, it’s going to be well worth the wait.

Convenient Ingenuity
So here at ICE Showbiz came to me an idea: – ‘Why not compile all of Becky’s music so far since The VoiceUK ( – ‘cos the BBC won’t like it if copyrighted material is used, and ICE Showbiz doesn’t want to go through a legal battle – ) covers, own songs, the lot; and publish it all in an (unofficial) album so that fans can listen at their convenience without having to separately download each track individually?’
…And that’s exactly what happened: So now it gives me great pleasure to present to you Becky Hill’s first – though unofficial – album: -
SHINE
I thought that name was appropriate because Becky Hill’s talent, as well as her positivity and determination to
succeed, make her shine out as an inspirational light to us all.
The album contains Becky’s post-Voice releases in mp3 format, as well as the Shazzalive remixes, and the session-edit previously published on this page. – No more looking all over the internet and this page to find individual tracks and compile them all yourself into a collection: It has been done for you.
– I have to admit that it makes it more convenient for me too; so I think it’s in everybody’s interest.
The album download is 101Mb in size, is in zip format, and unzips to a file containing 8 tracks in mp3 format, plus an Album Art image in png format. You can download it using the download button below. Right-click it and save the file to your disk. – Easy eh?

It may appear, particularly to many of Becky’s teenage fans – collectively known as “Rebels” – that it’s been a long time coming; but I officially have confirmation direct from Becky Hill herself that she’s going to be producing a release aimed at the UK music charts in the near future.
Christmas No.1?
That’s doubtful; although nevertheless possible. I haven’t seen the song’s lyrical content, but as far as I know it’s not a “Christmassy”-type song. – The best clue I was given as to its content was that it had something to do with facing up to one’s personal “demons”. – Meant probably more in a metaphorical sense than a psycho-spiritual manner.
This promises to be a professional-career-start for this upcoming young starlet with the voice of an angel.
I posed the question regarding the possibility of a mainstream-release directly to Becky. – ‘Big words or not; it’s pretty solid confirmation that we’re soon to see a chart-bound release from this potential-megastar.
So Can We Expect To See Becky Hill Take The Charts by Storm in The Future?
My answer to that would be YES; but maybe not immediately. There is a chance that the forthcoming track might well chart at No1 instantly. – However I feel that there is possibly more chance of a Top-Ten entry initially, followed by a rise toward and maybe even reaching the No.1 slot.
One has to bear in mind that publicity and marketing are professionally catered for by one of the best management teams available: Crown Media and Talent Group; who are treating Becky Hill as one of their top artists; second in line in fact, with their only priority over and above Becky’s career being that of star JessieJ.
Personally I’m looking towards the future with great confidence with regard to Becky’s stardom-career; and won’t be surprised to see her discs in record-stores and online for download very soon.
Becky Hill releases her solo performance of “You I Want The Most” via ontSofa.com The song is a number she wrote about her love of London UK just after her appearance on The VoiceUK. Beautifully performed as always, this tuneful melody with its touching lyrics portrays her growing connections with the Capital.
Is it any wonder that Becky has so many fans?
With talent like this you’d be surprised if she didn’t have!

Becky Hill Releases Her New Song ‘Pictures’
Having waited a considerable time, fans of rising starlet Becky Hill were overjoyed when she at last released her long-awaited masterpiece called ‘Pictures’.
There is only so much about such a wonderful artiste’ that one can put into words; so, without further ado, here is Becky Hill’s new song: -
Download the mp3 of this song here – The video is no longer available. – Soz.
Friday 13th is lucky for rising stars! – well it’s at least lucky for one rising star. – Not for me unfortunately but rising star Becky Hill, formerly a contestant in Team Jessie on BBC’s The Voice (UK) had fortune on her side at Warwick Castle in the UK when a performing Jessie J spotted her in the audience and invited her up on stage to perform with her LIVE!
Becky Hill’s Twitter went ballistic and into overload as many of her fans who are also fans of Jessie J attending the gig at the castle witnessed a sensational duet between the megastar and the starlet.
A packed-audience had great fun at the concert, after which Jessie J said on Twitter that she enjoyed it no end and was now on her way to the airport to fly out to Spain.
Take a look at the video below taken by someone going by the name of fellow-contestant on The Voice (UK) Vince Kidd on You Tube. ( @kiddulthood )
Speaking of Becky Hill – a name has finally been agreed on for the collective of individuals in her growing fan base: As of Saturday 14th July, Becky Hill’s fans are known as Rebels.
A number of names for her fan-base had been suggested in the past by its members; “Hillbillies”, and even “Twats”, due to the fact that a large proportion of the early fan-base had been gathered from attendees of Becky’s video-sessions on twit-cam – which she jokingly at the time referred to as “twat-cam”.
Numerically, at time of publication, the “Rebel-base” collective totalled around 40,000, although this figure is, of course, subject to variation over time.
What’s needed is more Rebels: Look this girl is sensationally talented; basically she’s born to be a star.
How many people do you know that Jessie J would invite on stage at her gig? How many do I know? Only 1: Becky Hill. Becky really rocks. Take it from me I can see amazing talent and a career as a star stretching out before this teen with the voice of an angel… So come on… If YOU would like to look into joining the Rebels then check out @rebeckyhill on Twitter.

Becky Hill is a talented artiste’. Born in 1995 she has displayed a strong musical talent all her life. Her association with the local music-scene brought out her obvious talent even as a young teen. Meanwhile; Becky Hill wasn’t going to stop at being a runner-up in BBC’s The Voice – She had plans for a career doing what she loves doing: Performing/singing. Her fans have already topped 40 thousand numerically; and, bearing the above information and performances in mind, you can understand why.
Being an artiste’ who is basically born to give quality entertainment, this girl is on a collision-course with stardom… Having said that however, the journey to the top is never an easy one. 580524 564766Hi this really is somewhat of off subject but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or in case you need to manually code with HTML. I
Hi and thank u 4 ur question. There are a number of blogging platforms out there and I can’t speak for all of them, but this blog runs on WordPress and there is both a WYSIWYG editor and a html editor. I mainly write stuff on Windows Live Writer and then paste the html into the html editor or send it straight to the blog using the facility provided in WLR. I do a lot of manual html coding too, but I’m a bit of a masochist.
I also do a bit of php; which is always useful to know when hacking-up WordPress themes.
Anyway thanks for visiting Becky Hill’s Rebels page. ‘Be great if you became a Rebel too.

I’m really enjinoyg the theme/design of your weblog. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A small number of my blog readers have complained about my blog not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any ideas to help fix this issue?
No: Internet Explorer is badly built because Microsoft march to a different beat than anyone else. – Basically if a viewer is too lazy or thick to install and use a different browser as default and sticks with Internet Explorer then they deserve everything they get.
