Objective of This Blog
|
To edify those seeking further knowledge on mainly a technological level, in addition to sharing what I know, as well as hoping to present and discuss issues of controversy or otherwise that I may or may not be completely informed about, but about which possibly a collection of thoughts might be aired and information gleaned thereby from other readers. – There’s nothing better than engaging the old grey matter occasionally in a healthy debate. I do advise you to join the Kkomp – Beyond community putting your email address into the form at the top of the sidebar and clicking the button; as there are extras that I dish out to people who are signed up to it from time to time. It’s well worth doing anyway, as you’ll get notifications of every new post and guest-post that appears on this blog delivered straight to your inbox pretty much as-it-happens. In addition to that you’ll also get some insider information, and as I stated just above; there’s a few (free) goodies flying about from time to time. Another thing is that I’m going to be making some special deals available, primarily to people on the mailing list, even if I do launch them on the blog itself and/or in a public newsletter at a later date. – If you’re on the list you’ll be first to take advantage of any such offers. This is your blog to comment on just as much as it is mine to write: That’s why I have a multi-level threaded comment system. – So don’t be shy, post your thoughts, ideas, even constructive criticisms as a comment. I’ve never bitten anyone yet, except in a moment of passion of course. I’ll be bringing you some new articles every week, if at all possible, maybe on a daily basis at times, but don’t hold me to that. Articles will be usually focused upon a particular item; an aspect of technology at a particular level: Maybe an item of tech news if there’s something really earth-shattering to report; with or without my own analysis. Maybe I’ll just be sharing some knowledge with you with regard to electronics and/or computers It could be written in a way that beginners or the average lay-person can understand. It might be written for a more advanced level of reader, or for those with at least a basic general understanding of electronics or computers. – You never know: I attempt to help all people to some extent; regardless of their levels of proficiency and technical prowess. I write for the newbie and I write for the veteran if I feel equipped to do so too. My goal is to have something on this blog that everybody can relate to and learn from. – But it’s not only a case of me teaching you: I want to learn from what you know too; which is why informative and uplifting comments are such a good thing that I actively encourage. You might ask the question: – “What makes this blog so special? Why can’t I go somewhere else to find what I’m looking for?” I wholeheartedly encourage you to do so after you’ve found what you’re after here, and then verify what you found here with other sources. – You see I’m normally fairly spot-on; but I’m not 100% right 100% of the time. – Who is? – So if you do find something here that doesn’t check out with numerous other sources, do let me know about it, before you rush off to tell everyone how crappy this blog is, and how I totally suck because I got something wrong: That way I can check for errors, verify it myself, and amend the erroneous type – from which both parties learn, and everyone’s happy. To answer the question directly; I guess the main thing that makes this blog totally unique is that there’s a lot of my own uniqueness; aka eccentricity etc, oozing out of it: I can be very dry at times; even adopt a “mechanical” persona, which might make people feel that I’m evolving into a computer: I can also be bubbly and humorous in my own individual eccentric way. You might notice either of these traits. ‘Get to it then: Read, learn, express, teach, enjoy, participate, and interact. I look forwards to hearing and/or seeing your point of view, etc. |
