Take Control of Windows 7
|
Microsoft recently launched the beta of their new operating system; Windows 7, to the public this year (2009). Reports indicate that until the time of writing, the public are generally impressed with what they see. –And rightly so. However there is a lot more to Windows 7 than one might imagine; so impressed you may well be; but after reading the article “50 Seriously Useful Windows 7 Tips” on Tech Radar, you’ll no doubt be even more impressed. All credit to Microsoft for going that one step further with this release and giving us something that’s worth the fee, rather than just a heap of hassle such as that experienced under Vista, at least initially. There are many things highlighted within the article which will enable you to optimally use your PC under Windows 7 and get the best out of the new OS.
The four different sections that the tips are split into include sub topics, and you can learn about new features such as the problem steps recorder, creating and mounting VHD files, setting up automatic PC cleanup, using RSS powered wallpapers, restoring quick launch bar, and more.
The article is certainly well worth a read if you use Windows 7 and want to get the best out of it. 50 Seriously Useful Windows 7 Tips

Hey Shazza-
My name is Jeff and I work with the Windows 7 Outreach Team. Thanks for including these tips in your blog. It is cool to see Windows 7 users share their experiences, tips, and tricks.
Cheers,
Jeff
Hey Jeff.
Thank you for your comment.
Microsoft have made a good job of Windows 7 and I must say that the beta is very well put-together.
I’m looking forward to using the RTM when it’s released.
Good work.
Thanks for posting these excellent tips. But I seriously doubt that “Micro$oft Feels Our Pain.”
Oh I can just imagine them writhing in agony at the problems users face.
Microsoft does care about what users of its OS software think. We are trying hard to gather as much feedback as possible about Windows 7 Beta to make sure that the final product is in line with what the users want. Be sure to use the send feedback tab if you are a Beta tester because your input counts.
Best,
Jeff

Thanks for your further comment Jeff.
It’s good to see that Microsoft has learned from their Vista fiasco and now seeks to get it right by listening to what its customers think, rather than what it thinks it knows is best for the public.
Maybe they have really turned over a new leaf? The proof of the pudding will be in the eating; so give them a chance: If Windows 7 is an example of the way things are going to be then that’s certainly a good start.
MS finally released the changes for the Windows 7 RC; thought you would be interested; -
