StarFlirt female I knew it wouldn’t be long before I had my name in lights. Flirt female Star

The time of year when we are filled with the spirit of wanting to buy the latest technology is only a few weeks away; but ignoring the January Sales, we turn our attention to another matter of the near future; a festival which is rightfully and originally Pagan/Heathen.

Since everybody else has been starting on about it since September, I thought that I’d add my bit – as a devoted Pagan – to the spirit of the season. I know that this is well-off-topic for this blog… But it’s now Sunday where I am at time of writing, and I’m taking a break yet still hyper-actively bashing away at my keyboard.

- So here – in the true spirit of Saturnalia and the Yule Solstice – I bring you a Pagan Carol.

   Sleeping half-moon             Sun            Sleeping half-moon

- Therefore Sing heartily and gladly as ye feast oh brothers and sisters of the Shadow Paths. Rejoice and be happy that the wheel of the seasons has completed another turn, and that, as the Shining One rises in the sky again, so our mother goddess renews and grows – bringing, once again, fertility and prosperity to the desolate earth – yet frozen by Winter’s hand. Glory to the goddess, power to the Earth, joy to the world.

Pax vobiscum!

Oh – One last thing, before I end this post totally: -

…I thought that I’d include this re-worked video; because it explains the Pagan perspective on this time of year.

The video was originally created and put together, at least a year ago, by a lovely Pagan lady from the UK; Lisa Jackson, who goes under the pseudonym of “White Witch”, appropriately. Lisa makes some excellent films from time to time; and when I found this one lurking buried in an old folder on my hard-drive, with the sound-track stripped – if it ever had one in the first place – I thought I’d put some appropriate music to it and find a use for it.

Here on this post appears to be such a use for it. All the credit for making the film goes to Lisa. – I just basically added a soundtrack, or at least a new soundtrack, to it, and I put (extra) opening and closing titles to it.

- So here, for your pleasure, I present to you “Silent Night”

Here’s hoping you enjoyed that. – Now enoy the season. ;)
